The Anoka Technical College Paramedic program has been issued a Letter of Review by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). This letter is NOT a CAAHEP accreditation status, it is a status signifying that a program seeking initial accreditation has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the accreditation standards through the Letter of Review Self Study Report (LSSR) and other documentation. Letter of Review is recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for eligibility to take the NREMT's Paramedic credentialing examination(s). However, it is NOT a guarantee of eventual accreditation.

Minnesota does not participate in the EMS Personnel Licensure Interstate CompACT so at this time we are unable to determine if our programs education requirements meet the licensure requirements in any state besides Minnesota.

While  our EMT/EMS/Paramedic programs lead to national certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians which is a requirement in most states, there are additional requirements in each state and, therefore, we are unable to determine if our program will meet those additional requirements without additional research.

Health care professions are in high demand, and the paramedic profession is no exception. As the field continues to evolve, there is a growing need for skilled and knowledgeable paramedics. Our new diploma option, starting in fall 2023, allows students to take courses during the day and complete the program in as little as 15 months.

Our goal is to prepare you for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exams and set you up for success as a competent entry-level employee in your paramedic career.
