Anoka Technical College Names Interim Dean of Academic Affairs

Anoka Technical College is pleased to welcome Eric Blankenburg as interim academic dean.  

Blankenburg has been an English instructor and member of Anoka Tech’s general education faculty since 2018. During that time, he served as general education department chair, chaired the college’s Academic Affairs and Standards Council and was legislative liaison for his faculty union.

He says he sees the new role as a chance to contribute to the college’s success by employing strengths and experiences.

“I think this opportunity puts a lot of my best skills to use like communication, problem solving and empathy,” he says. “It seemed like a good continuation of my motivation to help others succeed where I can.”

Blankenburg holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English. His appointment began mid-August 2024 and will run through August 2025.
